Professional Head of Dietetics
A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic dietitian to lead a rural dietetic service, in Powys Teaching Health Board, mid Wales. As part of Therapies and Health Science Leadership Team, you will operationally and strategically lead the growing Dietetic service and contribute to Powys Livewell strategy.
Over recent years the Department has expanded core services and now has established leads for Adults, Paediatrics, Medicines Management and Public Health. The post also provides professional leadership to dietitians in other services including oncology, eating disorders and weight management services. The service supports a varied caseload, including inpatients, public health programmes, and links with secondary and tertiary care centres to deliver Value Based Healthcare.
Wales is a great place to work as an HCP, celebrating their work through Strategic Programme Primary Care (SPPC), Welsh Dietetic Leaders Group, and BDA Bwrdd Cymru and Branches. PTHB provides an exciting work environment for aspiring leaders supporting training opportunities and study appropriate to the role.
The postholder would be well supported by Head of Therapies and other Heads of Service, and would drive forward opportunities for the profession and assistants to promote nutritional care across Powys.
