**Weekend Retail Assistant**

Reporting Line: the role reports to the Visitor Experience Manager
Employment conditions: Sat and Sun (13 hours per week - 10.00 - 17.00 with 30 mins lunch)

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour for age21, £8.00 under 21, paid monthly in arrears.

Role scope:
We are looking for someone to welcome visitors and sell products from the gift shop.
The successful applicant needs to be numerate, have good interpersonal skills and be friendly and happy in dealing with the public. You must be confident to work on your own in this area of the museum. The role will involve cash handling, but full training is given.
Previous retail experience desirable but not essential. The role is starting weekend of 5th August to end 24th September

We are approx 5 miles from York in Elvington (YO41 4AU). Please consider how you would arrive here as there is only a limited bus service
