Childcare Practitioner

We are currently seeking a qualified Level 3 or Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team on a full-time basis. Your duties will include:
Childcare and Education

Maintaining exemplary standards of quality within the nursery environment, encompassing resources and children's learning experiences.

Providing professional and informative feedback to parents/carers regarding their child's development.

Ensuring meticulous and accurate documentation of children's progress and learning by designated staff members.

Facilitating regular planning meetings to enhance educational programmes.

Offering leadership and support to playroom staff to foster positive working dynamics.

Ensuring compliance of nursery practices and provisions with the Early Years Foundation Stage standards.

Implementing efficient nursery keycarer procedures and appropriately assigning children to keycarers.

Ensuring the safety of children and adherence to Safeguarding Procedures by staff when necessary.

Supporting the advancement of best practices for special needs and inclusive education.

Implementing and assisting others in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in line with current guidelines.

Fostering professional partnerships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies, and external agencies.

Cultivating a culture of self-assessment and reflective practice throughout the nursery.

Health and Safety

Jointly responsible for upholding health, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the nursery.

Adhering strictly to all health and safety policies and protocols.

Maintaining awareness of emergency and security procedures.

Operational

Assisting the Nursery Manager and other staff during regulatory inspections and participating in the implementation of any recommendations.

Actively promoting the nursery to current parents and prospective clientele.

Staff Support

Providing guidance and oversight to playroom staff in their daily responsibilities.

Supporting and mentoring staff members and students.

Participating fully in self-development activities, including appraisals.

Identifying and addressing individual training needs of playroom staff in collaboration with the Manager/Deputy.

Cultivating open and positive working relationships with all staff members.

Marketing & Customer Care

Representing the Company proactively and advocating for its interests within the local community.

Promoting the nursery effectively to current and potential clients.

Ensuring that all staff maintain professional and amicable relationships with parents and carers.

Pay: £28,080.00-£29,250.00 per year

Expected hours: 45 per week
