**SEMH Teaching Assistant**
**Location**:Alnwick
**Salary**:£71-£90 per day
- Immediate Start _
An **‘outstanding’** SEMH Post-16 setting in Alnwick is looking for a teaching assistant to work with a class of 6 pupils with social and emotional mental health needs. Each class has around 3 to 4 members of staff and the school provides amazingtraining on communication, sensory strategies and behaviour management for new members of staff.
The main duties will include:

- Supporting the pupils in their education through the schools own curriculum
- Supporting the class teacher with recording attainment, behaviour plans and EHCP paperwork
- Carrying out interventions in small groups and 1:1
- Following the schools behaviour management policy effectively
- Promoting independence with life skills
- Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
- Be available for work Monday to Friday
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
- A full checkable work history
- In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
