You will work 20 hours a week as you join the established kitchen team at Badby Park in Daventry.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.

It's a calm and pleasurable working environment, where you'll be able to manage your workload and develop your career. There's a great social aspect to this role where you can interact with people outside the kitchen regularly.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- To ensure that food preparation meets all health and safety standards and Badby Park Ltd Policies and Procedures. Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and correct stock rotation systems are in place.
- To deal with all enquiries in such a way as to promote the goodwill of Badby Park Ltd
- To develop and maintain good relationships with the residents, relatives and staff through regular contact giving information, support and advice whenever and as often as required
- To maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary
- To ensure that the heavy duty kitchen equipment, light equipment, work areas, other facilities and general surroundings are maintained and operate to the standards required by the Statutory, Local Authority and Health and Safety and Hygiene regulationsand company's policies.
- To assist Chefs, and to take responsibility of day to day cleaning tasks, washing up, general cleanliness of the kitchen on a daily basis.
- To ensure that safe methods of work are used at all times and that no unauthorized person cleans/operates certain specified equipment
- To participate as a full member of the catering team
- To attend mandatory and other training courses provided by the company as agreed.

**To be successful in this role, you'll need**:

- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
- Experience of working within a similar role
