Roofer/laborer

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on residential and commercial properties.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
- Interpret schematics and plans to ensure accurate execution of roofing projects.
- Perform masonry work as required, including bricklaying and concrete repairs.
- Engage in heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with carpenters to plumb, build, and install structural components as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while on-site.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and masonry techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand schematics is beneficial for executing tasks accurately.
- A strong physical fitness level is required for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to roofing, carpentry, and general construction practices is essential.
