Senior Avaloq Consultant

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Avaloq Consultant** to join our team and take on the technical challenges of configuring, customizing, and optimizing **Avaloq Core Banking Solutions**. You will play a critical role in leveraging Avaloq’s advanced technical components, including **Avaloq scripting**, **Avaloq front and back-office modules**, and **API integrations**, to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure solutions for a leading financial institution.

**About the Role**

As a **Senior Avaloq Consultant**, your role will involve configuring and customizing Avaloq to meet the bank’s strategic needs. You will be responsible for deploying Avaloq’s **core banking modules**, **integration frameworks**, and **custom developments** to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance. You will also work with business and technical teams to ensure that Avaloq integrates seamlessly with other enterprise platforms and delivers optimal performance.

You will:

- Lead the **technical implementation** of **Avaloq Core Banking** solutions, configuring **back-office and front-office modules**, and developing **Avaloq scripts** for customized functionality.
- Leverage **Avaloq’s technical components** (e.g., **Avaloq Standard Functions**, **Avaloq Business Configuration**, and **Avaloq API Services**) to create scalable, integrated, and performant solutions.
- Optimize system performance and ensure the **security** of financial data, focusing on the technical aspects of Avaloq’s **transaction processing** and **data management** capabilities.
- Provide expert-level **Avaloq support**, including debugging complex issues and guiding development teams on best practices for Avaloq implementation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Avaloq Technical Implementation**:

- Lead the configuration and deployment of **Avaloq Core Banking Solutions**, focusing on **front-office** and **back-office** modules such as **wealth management**, **retail banking**, **payments**, and **lending**.
- Implement **Avaloq Business Configuration** to adapt the platform to business requirements, and develop **Avaloq scripting** (using **Avaloq Script Language**) to support custom functionality.
- Develop and optimize **data models** for financial products, ensuring that they are scalable and support the bank’s future growth.
- **System Integrations & API Management**:

- Design and implement integrations between **Avaloq** and **third-party systems** (e.g., payment gateways, trading platforms, CRM systems, risk management tools), leveraging **Avaloq API Services** (RESTful and SOAP APIs).
- Work with external vendors and internal IT teams to ensure smooth data exchange across systems, focusing on **real-time data flows**, **batch processes**, and **data synchronization**.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring mínimal disruption to the business.
- **Technical Optimization & Performance Tuning**:

- Focus on **performance optimization** for Avaloq, including fine-tuning **transaction processing** capabilities, improving system response times, and reducing processing overhead.
- Ensure that **Avaloq’s database architecture** is optimized for both high availability and low-latency processing, working closely with the DBA team to ensure that queries are efficiently executed.
- Conduct **stress testing** and **performance benchmarking** to ensure that Avaloq can scale to meet future business demands.
- **Security & Compliance**:

- Implement robust security measures, ensuring that Avaloq’s technical components comply with the highest standards of data protection and regulatory requirements, such as **GDPR** and **PCI-DSS**.
- Configure **user access controls**, **audit trails**, and **role-based permissions** to protect sensitive financial data and prevent unauthorized access.
- **Post-Implementation Support & Troubleshooting**:

- Provide technical support during the post-implementation phase, addressing performance issues, defects, and errors within Avaloq’s core banking modules.
- Deliver **user training** focused on the technical aspects of Avaloq, enabling internal teams to manage and maintain the system effectively.

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 5 years of experience** as an **Avaloq Consultant** with hands-on experience implementing, customizing, and optimizing **Avaloq Core Banking Solutions**.
- Strong technical expertise in **Avaloq scripting** (using **Avaloq Script Language**) to create custom business logic, workflows, and functionalities.
- In-depth experience with **Avaloq Front Office** (e.g., wealth management, retail banking) and **Back Office** (e.g., settlement, payments, loans) modules.
- Proven ability to design and implement **Avaloq API integrations** with other core banking and third-party systems (e.g., risk management, payments, CRM systems).
- Experience with **Avaloq Business Configuration** and setting up product types, pricing rules, and financial models within Avaloq.
