Production Engineer

Key responsibilities for the successful Technical Services Engineer will include:
- Request product specifications from Company Design Centre and ensure compliance with Customer Sales Order
- Convert specification to include manufacturing details IE wire weights. Select & design compaction rollers for the specification, create product, wire codes & BOMs on SAP.
- Handle customer technical requests & generate product data sheets as requested by Sales Department.
- Using AutoCAD LT design tooling as required i.e. extrusion points & dies, compaction rollers, Reel schemes and factory layout.
- Support Manufacturing with technical assistance as required.
- Project Manage customer orders where ITPs & 3rd Party Inspections are required.
- Gather & submit Product Data to Company Design Centre.
- Support manufacturing process improvement activities.
- Carry out product testing & Certification as required to assist laboratory personnel.
- Qualification in an Engineering discipline ie HNC, HND or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous however training will be given.
- Good IT skills i.e. Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SAP.
- Knowledge of wire rope manufacturing techniques & rope constructions would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative and under own supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
