FCL Fostering are an enthusiastic, friendly, and expanding Independent Fostering Agency located on the Accrington/Haslingden border close to the motorway network of the M65, M66 & A56. Our new purpose-built offices offer an attractive and inviting workingenvironment.
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our small and friendly team.
**Responsibilities**
The Supervising Social Worker will initially have a small and manageable caseload of 5 foster families, rising to a maximum of 10 foster families as the number of foster families grows.
You will have experience of presenting Form F assessments and foster carer annual reviews to the fostering panel.
Due to the small caseload, you will also be undertaking a Form F assessment alongside your caseload and supporting the team in other aspects of the agency including supporting and contributing to the recruitment of foster carers, co-facilitating preparationtraining, and facilitating support groups.
We operate a flexible approach to working and although the primary working hours will be 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, you will be expected to work outside these hours when required.
The position is primarily office based with some additional flexibility to work at home on completion of a successful probationary period.
**Requirements**:
- Experience within the fostering field of work and evidence of having undertaken safeguarding work (Desirable)
- You’ll be degree qualified, registered and experienced in this field, with a full driving licence and up to date knowledge of all job relevant legislation
- IT Literate with accurate record keeping and admin skills
- Willing to participate in an out of hours telephone support system and undertake occasional out of hours/weekend work by attending events, meetings and training
