IT Support Engineer

JHE & Partners are currently recruiting an IT Support Engineer on behalf of a successful manufacturer based in Bradford centre.
Working in a small team of 2 and reporting into the IT Manager you would be providing 1st - 3rd line support for the internal users. The support provided will be proactive to try and minimise repeat issues with the same root cause.
The team itself is small so you will get involved in a wide range of areas.
Essential skills include experience with:
- VMWare Esxi server set up and administration
- Experience of setting up Backup jobs (Particularly with Veeam)
- In-house standard software packages particularly Microsoft Access Databases
- Server set up and maintenance
- PC and Laptop hardware set up and configuration
- Networking - Switch, Router and Firewall administration skills, including VPN configuration
- Deployment of Windows Operating Systems (mainly Windows 10 - becoming Windows 11
- Maintenance of hardware and software including liaison with third party suppliers/contractors
- WiFi network administration
- Cable & patch management
- Printer management
- Sage ERP 1000 & SQL server administration (Training will be provided for this)
- Management of Sophos Antivirus
- Avaya IP Office administration
- Set up and maintain mobile Smart Phones
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- An understanding of Information and Data Security principles
- Day-to-day administration of the network hardware, software, infrastructure and end users
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to gain exposure to the Manufacturing industry.
You must have 2nd and ideally 3rd line support to be considered for this role. There is a generous salary paying £37,000 for this role. Working hours are 37.5, Monday to Friday.
