What’s the role all about:
The KBS Commercial Officer will:

- Prepare Customer Proposals for a range of infrastructure projects for the Portsmouth Naval base
- Support delivery of projects through life, by monitoring and managing change requests, ensuring the required contract administration activities have been carried out
- Provide commercial guidance and expertise to colleagues and delivery teams to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Monitor contract performance, in respect of contractual KPIs and support representations for any relief events
- Build and maintain good working relationships with internal functional areas, the customer and external stakeholders

Participate in risk reviews, provide mitigation advice and ensure issues are resolved

key experience will be:

- Previous experience operating in a similar Commercial role
- Experience gained within an engineering, facilities management or services sector an advantage

Knowledge and experience of UK Defence industry Terms & Conditions an advantage

Competencies will be:

- Commercial acumen and financial awareness
- Good interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including influencing, report writing and presentation skills
- Excellent organisational skills

Qualifications, memberships etc:
Educated to degree level within a business related field
- WCC/ IACCM Practitioner or CIPS/ MCIPS an advantage
