**Capita is looking for a Solutions Consultant/Architect - Homebased
This is a key service delivery role working with new and existing accounts in numerous sectors providing capability for both small and larger complex solutions. The Solutions consultant will act as the central point of contact to determine the solution scope, be a pivotal conduit to engage, develop, and evolve services alongside internal and external technical, commercial, and sales staff such as IT infrastructure and networks, security and compliance, sales and account management, configuration development, R & D, bid support and responses, marketing and collateral creation. A widely varied, role working within several sectors both internally and externally to Capita.

You will be required alongside sales and account management to gain an in-depth understanding of client’s requirements and functional specification, acting in pre-sales, investigation and solution selling, post-sales and documentation roles, providing demonstrations, pitching support, technical support, and training when required of CIC solutions. Key tasking is to provide technical documentation to support the process including Statement of Requirement (SOR), Presales documentation (PSD) (estimates), and development configuration briefing documents (PBD).

As a member of the solutions team, the role is home-based but you will be required to travel between clients and CIC’ production facilities when required.

**What you'll do**:

- To provide technical presales support
- To provide technical documentation of CIC solutions.
- To understand client’s needs and ensure CIC solutions are positioned to identify and win any new business opportunities.
- To determine solution specifications and provision documentation to enable estimates to be completed.
- Provide innovation to turn challenges into opportunities for improving customers processes and services.
- To develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels.
- As part of the CIC team and solutions team, ensure that CIC are delivering an excellent service to our customers. This requires you to develop a strong understanding of all the current and new services and products.
- Help identify any areas of weakness and work with operational teams suggest and implement improvements.
- To act as the solutions technical advisor and be the conduit to engage other technical professionals when required.
- You will be required to manage your own scheduling.
- Attend, book and facilitate internal and client meetings including taking and circulating minutes and ensuring agreed actions are undertaken.
- Capture and track your time allocation to projects and presales opportunities. Ensuring that all commercials are passed through the relevant process and approvals prior to submission.

- Experience of Solution consultancy.
- Be a technical innovator and thinker able to transpose ideas ad solution into documentation.
- Capture and document detail to a high degree of accuracy and clarity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical solutions suitable to technical staff and into plain English for clients.
- Ability to network & develop strong relationships.
- Internal and customer focused, with excellent presentation / demonstration skills, written and oral.
- Problem solver with analytical and self-managed organisational skills
- Desire and ability to understand the “big picture”.
