**Imperium Commodity Search** is retained by an international oil & energy trading house with physical business across Europe in both crude and products/distillates.Having increased profits consistently on the physical business in previousyears, the company is expanding its prop trading function and utilising a growing capital base to generate returns on prop trading carbon, emissions and more recently LNG.

To continue this impressive growth trajectory, our client is seeking an experienced crude/products cross commodity trader.

**Prop specific details**:
Starting DVAR of c. 250,000USD
Scalable DVAR over profitable trading year up to 500,000-1MM USD
Target returns 5-10x DVAR

**Responsibilities**:
Establish the cross commodity (oil crude & products/distillates) prop trading desk within the derivatives segment of the trading house
Build the cross-energy oil portfolio and increase PnL over a scaleable dairly VAR limit
Constantly monitor market analysis, risk and geopolitical events; staying on top of swings and movements in the derivative crude oil and distillates markets
Work with the physical team to identify prop/derivative trading opportunity in the oil crude and products markets
Maximise returns through smart position taking, incrementally increasing VAR limits through maturity stages of the cross commodity trading book

**Experience**:
3+ years of experience trading crude oil and products
5+ years of experience in proprietary/derivative/flow trading in the energy space
Good knowledge and understanding of the global oil landscape
Quant experience
Desire to grow a desk from scratch in a well financed and organically growing trading business
Able to relocate, or located in London
