Pharmacy Assistant Logistics

We are looking for a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Logistics team within the Hospital Pharmacy Department.
You will be working as a Pharmacy Assistant which involves working with in Stores, Portering, Distribution sections. In this role you will be part of a busy team within a large Hospital Pharmacy Department.
**Principle Objective**:
- To assist the Senior Pharmacy Assistants in the maintenance of an efficient and effective Pharmacy stock control and supply system.
- Greeting drivers, signing for packages & checking of deliveries
- Appropriate storage and rotation of medicines & bulk IV fluids
- Timely delivering of pharmaceuticals, heavy/ bulky intravenous fluids & confidential paperwork around the Trust
- Accurate picking & packing medicine orders ready for distribution to wards & clinics.
- Entering goods onto the pharmacy stock systems
- Matching delivery notes and invoices to orders
- Liaising with suppliers over invoice / order discrepancies

**Key Responsibilities**:
- To undertake the Level 2 Certificate/relevant units in Pharmacy Service Skills, as required by management (if not already achieved)
- To undertake any underpinning knowledge training as required by management.
- To complete in-house competencies as required for the post
- To work as an integral part of the Pharmacy 7 day service rota.
