Aluminium Welder

**The Role**:
Permanent night shift aluminium welder

Ensuring adherence to start and finish dates and quality standards. Liaising daily with the Management and production teams when required.

Must be highly numerate, have good communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and reliable.

**Experience**:

- TIG Welding aluminium 2 - 3 years
- Brazing is an advantage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow established procedures for Welding / Brazing, whilst ensuring they achieve conformity.
- Take precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components.
- Checking your own work to ensure this meets the customer requirements before the inspection.
- General maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in good condition.
- Ensure workload is completed promptly to support customer delivery requirements.
- Work with the Quality team to resolve issues and advise on preventive and corrective actions.
- Be responsible for one’s own Health and Safety and those around that any actions might affect.
- Embrace Continuous Improvement.
- Support the business in regulatory brazing & welding.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Have the technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, route cards &, drawings etc.
- The skill level to weld, fabricate and assemble customer components in various sectors (i.e Rail, Aviation, Automotive etc)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills
- Work in a team environment and respect all teammates
- Be able to undertake and maintain required welding tests
- Ownership of maintenance of welding equipment
- Good problem-solving skills

**Preferred**
- Ability to perform Manual torch brazing operations on Aluminium
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Understanding of 5s processes
- Knowledge of business improvement techniques

**Salary**: From £18.00 per hour
