**The Role of a Project Manager**

Your role as Project Manager is to lead/manage the project and the project team. You will be responsible for driving and overseeing the project’s delivery to ensure objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.You will have a key role in project governance and working with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered, enabling benefits to be realised.

**Overview of Project**

Strategy & Change (S&C) is a fast-paced and dynamic team at the heart of HMPO. It defines the organisation’s strategy, business design and delivery plans as well as delivering a variety of major change projects to implement these. We work closely with ourcolleagues in Operations and Customer Services to deliver a comprehensive approach to change internally. We work in collaboration with others, especially the wider Home Office, Government Digital Services, in particular focusing on Digital and Agile ProjectDelivery.

**Essential Criteria**:

- PM with solid experience and possess the fundamentals of Project Management
- Risk Management and control
- Controls management
- Experience in relocation (construction management)
- Planning skills
- Either experience of IT implementation or managing a workstream within a larger project
- ITDR, ITHC, or Security background
- Evidence in leading a remote team - strong communication skills required
- Mentoring team members
- Transparent and collaborative approach to decision making
- Initiative and organisation skills
