UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is on a mission to protect clean sport and currently has an exciting opportunity available for you to join us.

We’re looking to recruit a Performance Pathway Education Lead joining the Education, Insight and Global Engagement Directorate to play an active role in leading, developing and delivering a high-quality programme of education, information, support for key stakeholders including athletes and athlete support personnel.

**Job purpose**:
You will proactively work with key Performance Pathway stakeholders to advise and support the development of education and training programmes, supporting them in meeting their education obligations and wider efforts to protect clean sport.

You will be a member of the Education Team which aims to promote and reinforce a culture of clean sport through effective partnerships.

**Key result areas include**:

- Develop and nurture effective working relationships with UK Sport, British Olympic Association (BOA), British Paralympic Association (BPA), Commonwealth Games Agencies (CGAs), Home Country Sports Institutes and Sports Councils and National Governing Bodies (NGBs), to advise, monitor, enhance and quality assure their education programmes for selected athletes and athlete support personnel.
- Lead and manage the BOA, BPA and CGAs education, training and support requirements for Games-time support personnel, ensuring that it is needs-led, high quality and evaluated post-Games to promote continuous improvement.
- Lead and facilitate a process whereby BOA, BPA, CGAs, HCSCs, and NGBs can learn from each other and share good practice, post a Major Games cycle.
- Design, develop and manage the implementation of education resources to help BOA, BPA, CGAs, HCSCs and NGBs meet their education compliance responsibilities.
- Lead, manage and deliver all Major Games Education Programmes
- Ensure there is a planned and defined evaluation process and a post-Games review session for the BOA, BPA or CGA’s for all programmes and targeted interventions which are documented and includes recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the orientation of National Trainers and Educators into each Major Games Education Programme and seek their feedback as part of the post-Games review process.
- Work collaboratively with the Assurance team in the implementation of the Assurance Framework, advising on NGB Education Plans and the relationship with the major games education programme
- Manage the tracking and monitoring of all athletes and athlete support personnel receiving Major Games Anti-Doping education
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies, providing paid-for support in line with the Major Games programme associated with a Commonwealth Games or all Island Games
- Lead the education relationship with the Sports Institutes to develop and support the delivery of a risk-based education strategy specifically for ASP who are part of a World Class programmes and provide educational support to NGB Performance departments outside of the funded programmes where required.
- Manage the budget and risks associated with this programme with support from the Head of Education

**Person specification**:
**Qualifications/experience/knowledge**
- Experience of working within an NGB or similar sport body at middle management level or above
- Knowledge, experience and understanding or education pedagogy, andragogy and learning design.
- Demonstrable experience working in sport, preferably performance sport environments.
- Demonstrable experience of relationship management to effect changes and enhance programmes.
- Experience of ‘moving others to action’ through guiding, negotiating and influencing
- Knowledge of the sport structure in the UK and the issues faced by high-performance and recreational/amateur sport in relation to Anti-Doping and drug misuse.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and creating tools and resources to support others to achieve.
- Budget planning process and management including forecasting.
