**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to take the lead in the day-to-day management of our food and beverage services. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service so we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual who candeliver the level of service that our members have come to expect.

Alongside the General Manager, you will be given freedom to develop and deliver the long-term strategic business development of our bar and catering facilities.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Staffing:_
- Manage bar and front of house operations on a daily basis
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage bar/front of house staff
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety work practices and standards of hygiene
- Create and issue staff rotas in advance to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Handle employee relation issues and review incidents with the General Manager
- Financial_:

- Responsible for ordering bar stock and receiving deliveries
- Develop relationships with existing and new suppliers to get the best value for money/service
- Provide clear and accurate financial information to Finance in a timely and accurate manner
- Lead and take responsibility for the financial operations of the bar and clubhouse functions
- Conduct regular bar stock checks and ensure accurate recording of all stock
- General:_
- Attend weekly Heads of Department meetings and be aware of all club policies and procedures
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and tidiness within the bar service areas
- Ensure a pleasant dining experience by working with the Head Chef to review and refresh food and beverage offerings
- Maintain consistency of service for course events, large parties, and reservations
- Liaise with customers to arrange functions and cost in conjunction with the Head Chef and office administration
- Set up and organise function areas, including furniture and catering
- Serve and work behind the bar/lounge and catering areas
- Ensure all crockery and cutlery is in excellent condition and stored correctly
- Manage laundry requirements and equipment
- Check, maintain, and repair bar equipment as necessary
- Develop long-term strategic business development of the bar with the General Manager
- Open and close the bar according to Club guidelines and licensing hours
- Act as a key holder and be on the emergency call-out list
- Responsible for opening and closing the clubhouse and maintaining high security levels at all times.

**Hours**:
Full time - 40 hours per week including evenings/weekends to meet the demands of the business.

**Essential skills and experience**:

- A minimum of four years’ responsibility in the Food & Beverage industry including personnel management.
- Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer service.
- Solid time management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and proactively make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and recommend/implement effective solutions if/when necessary.
