**About us**

Greenacres Day Nursery has three branches in Hampton and Hampton Hill. We have been established since 1996 and have a very good reputation. We take pride in our staff teams and believe, if we have a happy staff morale, then this will benefit the children in our care. We value and appreciate our staff, we have events like loyalty day in which we reward staff and provide regular in house training.

We train staff up to become a keyworker and provide support along the way. There are professional development opportunities for all, Our management team are very hands on.

As numbers are increasing, since the pandemic, we are recruiting. We are looking for staff with a passion for childcare. Full time only, qualifications aren't essential, but are preferable.

**We have 4 vacancies available, at our Hampton site in Oldfield Road, for our baby room, 2-3 year old room and our pre school room. Salary is dependent on age, qualification and experience.**

**Full time only (42 1/2 hr week), qualification not essential, as training is provided.**

**You will work as part of a close team of staff, **You will have adequate communication skills to liaise effectively with **staff, parents & children to ensure maximum opportunity is gained for all children & families.**

**You will liaise weekly within your team to provide plans of the forthcoming curriculum to ensure children’s interests and next steps to learning are taken into account. This includes ensuring that spider graphs are well-maintained, efficient and reflective of all children’s interests.**

**You will be responsible for ensuring that these plans are carried out, whilst providing a safe and secure environment to do so, actively removing barriers that may reduce a child’s ability to fully participate and monitoring each child’s early intervention notes and ongoing ILP’s.**

**You should remain aware of the need for confidentiality and a professional attitude for all nursery business and promote this practice to all staff. This includes the strict rules of social media as by contract of employment.**

**You will demonstrate your commitment to all the policies of the nursery with particular **attention to Health and Safety Guide-lines, Inclusive Practice for all and Child Protection/**Safeguarding and you will be expected to have full understanding and an **ability to demonstrate this also. You will need to work with the designated officer to ensure **compliance of all proceedings.**

**You see fit to continuously update your childcare knowledge and first aid for the benefit of your own professional development and the nursery's. You must be pro-active in all training and seen to have positive attitudes to further development.**

**You must take responsibility for ensuring that the children in your care are provided with a varied curriculum, with new challenges, with a commitment to ongoing improvements and a sensitivity to ‘what it’s like for a child to be here’. You will need to actively ensure that **spider graphs** **and clipboards are current, effective and good quality.**

**You will make security of the children in your care of the utmost importance & **demonstrate a commitment to educating staff and parents equally in this area.**

**You will demonstrate an awareness of the importance of the general domestic upkeep of the nursery in addition to the care of equipment and reporting of all repairs. Equipment must be respected so as to reduce costs, wastage and unnecessary loss of items.**

**You will need to be sensitive to the nursery budget and treat supplies and equipment **accordingly. The setting must be clean, tidy and uncluttered at all times. All staff must be **committed to clearing up after themselves and ensuring that the setting is left clear and **uncluttered at the end of each day.**

**You will attend all staff meetings, and also be prepared to give time and effort to parent **social functions and occasional promotional events.**

**You will wear uniform and present yourself well during nursery hours. Staff appearance **and conduct reflects on our profile as a high quality day nursery so this will be taken very **seriously.**

**You will be assessed regularly to ensure that physical ability continues to be appropriate to **fulfil the role effectively.**

**You will be expected to be positive and motivating with the ability to advise and encourage **your colleagues to be respectful and of a positive disposition during working hours.**

**You must commit to being based and committed to your room and children and choose **appropriate times to leave the room to do other duties or activities.**
