**The Role**
Do you have previous experience managing a site engineering team, operational resources, scheduling and delivering site engineering projects? Do you have excellent organisation and project management skills? If so, we are looking for you.
SURVEY SOLUTIONS is looking to employ a Site Engineering Manager, in this role you will support the Engineering Director in the day to day running of the site engineering department. The Site Engineering Manager will play an important role, managing thesite engineering team, resources and projects throughout the UK.
**Key Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of a Site Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the team of Site Engineers with site access, survey drawings and site control
- Responding to project enquiries and provide fee quotations to clients and following up on fee quotes.
- Managing operational resources, including the allocation of equipment, staff and vehicles.
- Organising project files to provide site team members clear, concise instruction & briefings.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and scheduling equipment for calibration and repair
- Delegating workload and tasks to Project Coordinators to assist with the smooth running and delivery of survey projects.
- Visiting long-term site engineering projects to build excellent working relationships with clients and key stakeholders involved in the project
- Maintaining Survey Solutions’ standards and ethos with regards to health & safety, diversity, equality, bullying, staff welfare and brand awareness, report non-compliance issues to a director.
- Producing site specific RAMS when required using the standard company template.
- Ensuring the monthly billing spreadsheet is accurate, includes WIP numbers, is up to date and issued to a director at the end of each month.
- Onboarding new joiners effectively into the team and business, including completing H&S inductions and right to work checks.
- Completing team meetings to aid the Directors with the delivery of information from the board to survey teams and vice versa, and to update the survey teams on any other business.

**The Person**
The key skills and qualities of a Site Engineering Manager are:
- Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager with a background in Geomatics Surveying andSite Engineering
- Previous experience working as an Engineering Surveyor (minimum 6 years’ experience).
- Previous experience managing a site engineering team, operational resources, scheduling and delivering site engineering projects.
- Proficient using total stations, laser scanners, GPS, N4CE, AutoCAD equipment and software.
- Previous experience working closely with clients, providing fee quotations and able to advise on best approaches.
- Working knowledge and experience of general Site Engineering practices, including Drainage, Infrastructure, piling and foundations and superstructure.
- Knowledge and experience of structural and environmental monitoring would be advantageous
