A fantastic opportunity to join a thriving training practice, looking to welcome a medical Healthcare Assistant to the team.

You will work closely with our well established multi-disciplinary team to help provide clinical care and manage acute demand and chronic ongoing medical issues.

We are looking for someone to work 30-34 hours a week, Monday-Friday.

**Main duties of the job**

You will be assisting in patient care and practice related duties as directed by and under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional, working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Phlebotomy
- ECGs
- BP monitoring
- Removal of sutures
- Part 1 diabetic checks
- Flu, Pneumonia and B12 injections
- Simple dressings
- NHS health checks
- BNP and D-Dimer test
- Assisting Nurses and Doctors with their clinics
- Urinalysis
- New patient/NHS Health Checks
- Ordering of stock
- Restocking & stock rotation of equipment
- Restocking clinical rooms
- Assisting with Infection Control procedures

**About Us**

Stony Medical Centre is an established training practice of 11,500 patients.

We have two GP trainers in the practice reflecting our commitment to lifelong learning and we are all involved in the training of our Registrars. We have monthly protected learning time for education meetings and all staff are encouraged to participate.

We are forward thinking, working closely with our CCG resulting in the development of community clinics which we are now delivering within Dermatology and Gynaecology.

We are part of the Watling Street Network (PCN) and have a community team including nurses, social prescribers and social work assistant supporting our patient populations.

We are a busy practice, but supportive, friendly and collaborative.
