**Faculty / Directorate**
The Research Services Directorate provides specialist support to the DMU research community, supporting the delivery of ambitious research objectives as the institution broadens and deepens its research portfolio.
**Role**
This role will take responsibility for developing the funding portfolio for one or two of our five research themes (Living in a Digital Society and Net Zero), liaising with the Theme Directors in order to plan and target appropriate funding sources, andwork with individuals/ groups of researchers, bringing in external collaborators as necessary, to support a significant increase in grant income as well as a high profile for DMU research. The post holder will also manage research within the faculty of Computing,Engineering and Media, working with the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the faculty and the institute leads to support bids from that faculty. The role will be critical to enriching the research environment at DMU.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven individual with a track record in research development, with an excellent appreciation of the research funding landscape in the UK and internationally, the ability to persuasively bring collaboratorstogether, and optimize contribution on bids to funders. They must be able to develop excellent and effective working relationships with colleagues across the University and outside.
