You will be part of a devoted team of support workers who work hard to meet the challenges of working with young people. Our children and young people’s ages range from 8 up to 18 years old with a wide range of requirements. If all this appeals to you, you’ll be a perfect fit within the role.

**Role**:Residential Support Worker (Day and Nights)

**Location**: Telford

**Hours**: 36-hour contract

**Shift Pattern**: 2 on 4 off

**Salary**: £12ph

**Plus - £60.00 per sleep-in (Working approx. 4-3 sleep ins per month, potentially an additional £3,000 - £4,000 pa)**

**What will be expected from being a Support Worker?**
- Willingness to work towards a funded Level 3 diploma in children and young people (if you don’t already have this or an equivalent)
- A support worker with an excellent understanding of safeguarding
- Articulate and comprehensive record keeping
- A support worker with a flexible work ethic
- Preferred - Previous experience within an OFSTED regulated residential setting
- **Preferred - NVQ/Diploma or equivalent in Children & Young people**
- Preferred - Driver with full UK driving licence

**What is a day for a Nurtured Future Living Support Worker?**
- To act as positive role model to reinforce constructive behaviors'
- Support in a structure rich environment, being consistent and nurturing
- Aiding young people to become as independent as possible
- Monitoring and educating the young people we support
- Supporting day to day activities to help build their social and emotional skills
- Managing and understanding behaviors' of concern and the reason for them
- Awareness of stresses or abuse, monitoring, recording and reporting
- Assistants with budgeting
- Positive engagement is key to encourage the young people’s development

** **_The new contracts state that we will pay for their initial DBS check after that it is their responsibility to either join the update service or pay for a new certificate upon renewal date (every 2 years)._
