Children’s Home Deputy Manager

Join this organisation as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager at their New Children's Home based in Salisbury. The home is a Solo Placement Home for Children aged between 7-14 upon admission. You will be an experienced Deputy Manager working in an environmentand culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.? The home is easily commutable from towns such as Salisbury, Southampton, Andover and the surrounding areas.

??As the Children’s Home Deputy Manager you will support the registered manager in the day to day running of the home, support the continued development of a team of Residential Child Care Workers who help and support the children, who have experienced AdverseChildhood Experiences and trauma, using trauma informed practices, which are embedded within their culture.

?The organisation’s young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, they are looking for a committed and dedicated Deputy Manager. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with children andsomeone who is full of empathy, so you can understand and relate to the young people you work with.

Your emotional resilience is key to this role, the Young Person you will be working alongside displays harmful sexualised behaviour. If you have a back ground in mental health for either young people or adults and have a strong sense of personal authorityand be able to work consistently within the team environment they would love to hear from you.

?You will need to have at least 1 year experience of being a Deputy Manager working in a Children’s Residential Setting, hold your level 5 in leadership and management or be prepared to work toward it and minimum of Level 3 in Children and Young PeoplesWork Force, have a proven track record with Ofsted, Legislative Framework.

**The Team at the Home**

The team will be a fully integrated team where you will be working alongside their Education and Clinical teams, they’re looking for experienced people to join their family.

?The home is situated in a quiet residential area and looks like any other detached, well-maintained house. There is a large, lawned garden and a spacious communal area, allowing the children (and the adults) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.

The house also enjoys good transport links, with plenty of opportunities for leisure pursuits in the local area, such as walking, climbing, farm visits and trips to the cinema or shops. The role is hugely rewarding but often challenging, so they make surethey’re always there for each other when times get hard.

**Hours ?**

On average 39 hours a week which typically initially you will be covering day shifts within the hours of 8am -10pm.

After a settling in period, you will be required to do two sleep-ins per week, for which you receive an additional £50 payment per sleep-in.?
