The Speech and Language Therapy Service is a dynamic and innovative team providing communication support to children across City and Hackney. The post holder will lead, provide support and have responsibility to ensure the smooth and efficient administration of the Integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service, upholding professionalism and confidentiality in their role. The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of Speech and Language Therapy systems designed to support the department’s infra-structure. This will include management of information, records, calendars, databases, correspondence and reports. The ability to manage your own workload, be highly organised and to use initiative is essential in this role. The Administration team is an integral part of this team and essential to the smooth running of the service. The administration team is made up of a B5 lead alongside 2 other administrators. The team works closely together in a number of settings. **Working hours**: 30 per week 1. To lead the Children’s Therapy Administrator team providing a wide range of administrative functions for the Department. 2. To provide good friendly service within the Department to patients and therapists using excellent communication skills. 3. To maintain efficient and regular filing and dealing appropriately with correspondence. 4. To assist in the booking and sending out of Speech and Language Therapy appointments to children and their families. 5. To support and assist therapists with various projects including research and collation of information for caseload audits, creating new therapy tools and making of resources. 6. To assist with the maintenance of specialist therapy equipment and test materials, including expensive communication aids. 7. Maintaining and auditing stationery and stock levels, and placing replenishment orders. 8. To contribute to the development of best practice within the service.
