We are a friendly company with a fantastic team and company atmosphere. **3rd Line Team Leader - The Role** This is a fantastic career opportunity for a talented Technical Team Leader with experience in Windows Server operating systems, server hardware, Azure, Office 365, networking and Virtualisation technologies. On offer is a key position working on a broadrange of the latest technology, with a team of exceptional engineers at our head office in Ringwood, Hampshire. **What you’ll do** - Lead a team of 2nd line and 3rd line engineers including line management, team/individual objective setting/appraisals, resource management, out-of-hours rota management, incident/request management, coaching, first/single point of contact/escalation pointand being the lead technical member in the team. - Assist in the creation of service reviews with internal customers and external vendors/suppliers. - Be the Subject Matter Expert in a number of technologies managed within the team. - Lead on the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of infrastructure and systems used by our customers - Offer expertise within the team for the resolution of all technical incidents and problems - Proactively identify opportunities and create and deliver robust business case proposals to team Manager to improve reliability, stability, and efficiency - Instigate and orchestrate changes to infrastructure and systems, in line with change control processes - Work with the Technical Delivery Manager to facilitate and assist with the management of medium/large technical projects and complex work packages into business-as-usual operations - Support, coach, and mentor the more junior members of the team, leading by example - Contribute with ideas and suggestions on continuous service improvement - Develop, produce, and maintain documentation and following procedures as required - Provide out of hours support for major incidents as part of an on-call rota **3rd Line Team Leader - The skills you’ll need** - People and resource management of a technical delivery team: - Line management, direct and dotted. - Objective setting (both individuals and team) and appraisals - Performance management - Forward demand and capacity planning, both people and infrastructure. - Incident / request management - Vendor/supplier management - Significant technical knowledge, understanding and expertise including but not limited to: - Microsoft Server technologies; MS Server, MS Clustering, Active Directory Services, Group Policy, Windows Terminal Services, Certificate Services, ADFS - Disaster Recover, Replication and Recovery services - Server Hardware - _Storage technologies: SAN, Fibre Channel Switches etc._ - IaaS and Cloud technologies; Microsoft Azure, Office 365, AWS - Server Networking including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Load-Balancing technologies - System Management and monitoring technologies; SCOM, SCCM, MECM - Scripting knowledge (PowerShell) - Anti-virus technologies - Experience supporting large/enterprise level infrastructures - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve prompt resolution - Strong experience of incident and problem management including 3rd party service providers - Capable of managing concurrent initiatives - Solid operational understanding of service management standards and tools; Minimum ITIL V3 Foundation qualified - Industry recognised qualifications are an advantage, including but not limited to Microsoft Certified (MCSA, MCSE) **If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role, click on "APPLY" today, forwarding an up-to-date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.** No agencies please.
