**Support Workers - Part-Time Days (Learning Disabilities)**
Shinner’s Bridge, Dartington, Devon
Salary scale: £10.41 - £11.09 per hour (dependant on qualifications)
Working hours: Part time (20 hours per week) or Early to School (07.00-10.00am term time only)
We are looking for amazing part-time Day Support Workers to join the team within our 10 bed Residential & Short Break Home in Dartington.

There is no such thing as a 'typical’ Support Worker. Our staff come from lots of different backgrounds, people with little or no experience but want a job that involves helping people, those who want a change of career, as well as experienced Support Workers.The one thing that links them all together is their desire to work with young learning-disabled people, make their lives better and help them to learn something new or take a further step towards independence. Our Support Workers certainly don’t see what theydo as 'just another job’.
No two days will be the same as you will get involved in a variety of different tasks and activities whilst helping young people to learn the skills they need to live the life they choose.
The shift pattern for the part time role will be 20 hours, normally over 2 days per week. This role will involve weekend working; you can either choose to do 1 weekday and 1 weekend day every week, or you can choose to work your 2 days over the whole weekendone week, then do 2 weekdays the next week. The hours for weekdays (within term times) would be 14.30-21.30. The weekend and school holiday hours would be 08.00-20.00 (or similar).
For the Early to School role, the hours are 07.00-10.00am Monday - Friday, term time only.

**About You**
Ideally, you will have previous experience in this sector and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Though this qualification is by no means essential, a willingness to gain the qualification within two years is required.
