**Early Years Practitioner - Interviews to take place w/c 28th February**

We have a new vacancy available for a full time or 2 part time Early Years practitioner to join our friendly, family run pre school in the village of St Johns, Woking. Qualification at level 2 or 3 would be a benefit, but we are willing to consider applicants who are interested in training.

At Seedlings Pre School we feel that the most important thing is to provide children with a warm, caring and safe environment. We take great care in choosing a team of fun, experienced and caring staff who we truly value and treat as family.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and helping to create a real home from home environment for children in our setting. We have a wonderful team who work closely with each other, so we are looking for someone who is positive, a supportive team player with a can-do attitude who is keen to make a difference to the children’s learning and development while they are at Seedlings.

**The full time hours would be**:
Mon - Fri (Term time only) 8:30 - 4pm

but we are happy to consider part-time working as well

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Support the day to day running of the pre school
- Support and build a relationship with a small group of key children and be responsible for the continuing learning and development
- Provide care and support to the other children in the setting outside of your key group
- Support your colleagues, working as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment for all the children
- support your colleagues in supporting woodland activities for the older children in the pre school
- Maintain the expected level of safeguarding and confidentiality required within a pre school setting and ensure that the company policies and procedures are maintained at all times
- Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene and welfare whilst maintaining adequate supervision of the children in your care
- Support the management team in delivering the EYFS framework to the expected levels
- Any other duties that are deemed reasonable within the role

**Requirements for the role**:

- A full and relevant Early Years qualification from Level 2 upwards is desirable, but not essential
- Previous experience of working with children
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
- Engaging and caring manner with good organisational skills and intuition

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Woking: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- EYFS Framework: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare/Working with children: 1 year (preferred)
