JOB AD:
ROLE**:Principal Senior RF HW Engineer**

LOCATION: London

SALARY: Highly Competitive

DURATION: Permanent

**Responsibilities**:

- RFIC chip characterisation and Board/module/SIP products
- To review HW Designs and be part of new chips bring-up
- To test and investigate RF performance against specifications and product requirements.
- To Provide broad technical RF expertise, to analyse & isolate RF issues whether tool, test equipment, FW or HW regressions.
- To Propose & Define future evolutions needs, advise prioritisation and implement changes
- Liaise with other teams when needed to facilitate integration and enable solutions.
- To document test results, updates, investigations
- To be responsive to fix issues as they arise

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Requirements:
Essential:

- Engineering degree/MSc in RF, Maths or Engineering
- 10 years work experience in RF and baseband testing, system design and integration.
- Troubleshoot and solve RF problems.
- Demonstrate analytical expertise by providing the needed conclusions.
- Understanding RF performance, noise, dynamic range, RF matching, filtering, sensitivity, spurious emission, EVM, CINR
- Understanding system blocks calibration, gain profiles, eLNA, duplexors
- Understanding of conducted and radiated measurements
- Understanding of LTE/NBIOT/5GRF testing a plus
- Some travel may be required between company and customer sites
- REQUIRED DETAILED KNOWLEDGE AT RF LEVEL:

- Familiarity with controlling lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analysers, vector signal analysers, multi meters, oven, power supplies is needed
- RF matching, S-Parameters, Return loss, Impedance, decoupling, isolating RF blocks
- Layout and Schematics review, RF design constraints
- Understanding RF TX and RX performance degradation causes and interconnections
- RF Test automation Pyton, Matlab, C++or labview

PREFFERED DETAILED KNOWLEDGE AT RF LEVEL:

- 3GPP standard awareness
- Analytical skill
