The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

We are looking to appoint a Porter / Stores Person to support the Housekeeping function at Cheadle Royal Hospital with particular emphasis on;
the ordering goods from nominated suppliers, receiving good inwards, and stock control.

Then the delivery and movement of stores orders and goods around the Hospital, sometimes by driving the van.

This physical role (it involves lifting boxes) includes ordering various types of supplies on-line: Domestic stores supplies, Food Stores, Hygeine Supplies and Clinical Stores supplies - and then delivering these goods from internal orders to the wards and departments within the Hospital in a timely and efficient manner, sometimes delivering by van to the wards in the grounds.

Under direction, this physical role also assists within specific areas eg engaging with different contractors for the disposal of clinical waste; or for disposal of confdential waste, etc to the re-hanging of curtains on the wards.

The person ensures that the Hospital's assets are moved and located in the correct and safe manner, ensuring that the Priory’s procedures regarding manual handling and health & safety are followed.

Be able to work professionally when handling stores ordering.

Have excellent organisational skills, be able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

Be competent in the use and knowledge of IT systems, and have accurate keyboard skills for ordering on-line.

Be educated to GCSE, with potentially A Level.

Have extended knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Previous administration experience and attention to detail is required

Have a full, clean driving licence.

Hours will be full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday on site, office based.
