**Hours of work**: Full time 37 Hours per week
- **Location**: Observatory House
- **Salary** **Level**: Level 5, £23,023 to £28,226 per annum. (pro rata for part time employees)

A local Weighting allowance of £965 per annum is also payable (pro rata for part time employees).

An **Enhanced DBS** is required for this role.

**Permanent contract**: Full-time 37hrs per week.

An opportunity has arisen for a Neighbourhood Welfare Officer to join the Debt and Welfare team, to provide a wide range of comprehensive advice and support to:

- Housing Benefit, claimants and debt advice and support to customers with rent arrears
- Council Tax support, welfare and debt advice, to help residents and the council maximise income.

You will play an important role in supporting internal and external partners by providing help and advice to vulnerable residents.

You’ll have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to:

- converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
- show determination and experience in providing the Welfare and Debt services.

You’ll have experience of working within a team but also able to work on your own with mínimal supervision.

This is an exciting time to join the team as the service is developing to bring about significant improvements as to how we deliver services to our residents.
