**The Company**
C-Tec is a leading UK independent manufacturer of quality life safety electronic equipment such as fire alarm systems, power supplies, automatic extinguisher systems, disabled refuge systems, call systems and hearing loop systems.
Due to phenomenal growth and the imminent release of new products, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Specialist, based at our head office in Wigan, working 8:30 - 5:00, Monday to Friday. From time to time, this role will also involve travelling to various client locations in the UK and Internationally.
**The role**
Our Technical Support Specialist's role is to provide in depth technical support for all of the company's products and to provide key feedback to enable continued enhancement for all of C-Tec's products and services. Your main day to day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that C-Tec delivers a high level of customer satisfaction by continuously improving both product and processes to help drive the company in achieving its goals.
- Providing on-site support to the company’s customers regarding all products, including pre - release products.
- Providing on-site technical assistance, and to identify & resolve any end user technical issues.
- Providing on-site assistance with commissioning C-Tec fire products.
- Identifying product issues, to critically analyse trends, and to escalate any matters surrounding product quality.
- Providing specific 1:1 customer support and training in order to increase competency levels that relate to the company’s fire panels and call systems.
- Detailed reports from each site visit and liaise with the technical manager.
- Leading and work as part of a team, and to develop continuous improvement working practices and procedures.
- Validation of new and existing products across all the range.
- Servicing and maintaining electrical equipment within the factory.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the Technical department at all times, including adhering to company policies, procedures, health & safety and standards.
**You** **will have**:
- Exceptional customer interfacing skills.
- Sound knowledge of fire systems.
- An electrical/engineering qualification (desirable)
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- A high level of numeracy and written communication.
- A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
- The adaptability to travel to customer sites in the UK and on occasion, overseas visits.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A legal right to work in the Uk.
