**Role** - QA Engineer - Automation
**Salary** - £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
**Location** - Sheffield Twice a Month

This disruptive, technology driven business are looking for a QA Engineer who will have significant impact on their offering as they go through unprecedented growth. Whilst listed as S. Yorkshire based, the role is largely remote with perhaps 1 day a monthin the office.

The QA Engineer will be joining a successful and exciting business as they embark on their next stage of growth, UK and San Fran based this is a rare opportunity to work with some of the industries great minds, whilst still having significant impact.

With a passion for innovation and technology, the successful QA Engineer will ideally be able to demonstrate the below:
**Role**:

- To help the organization more towards a data meshing paradigm and architecture
- Be part of a data product team providing data products that support internal and external consumers
- To help the team develop within an event driven and microservice architecture and become co-owner of distinct portions of the system within that data product team
- Work closely with existing cross functional team and stakeholders to make sure that the correct product is being built
- Provide QA support for the development team for both Web Applications and a RESTful API
- Document and improve the test processes
- Shared in the design of both the web product and the RESTful API

**Workflow / Methodology**
- Proactively monitor the performance of QA systems, build and deployment servers, following a DevOps culture.
- Agile using both Scrum and Kanban methodologies where appropriate
- Working with business stakeholders to define requirements
- Experience with remote workers an advantage
- Document-as-you-go

**Skills**:

- Ability to author test plans with an emphasis on prioritizing highest risk test cases
- Experience with web API testing, manual and automated
- Experience with web UI testing, manual and automated
- Experience of test automation tools/libraries/UI components such as Selenium, Cucumber, Storybook
- Experience with a querying language such as SQL, NoSQL, etc.
- Good understanding of at least one of Python, C#, Java, NodeJs, plus OO design patterns.
