Civil Enforcement Supervisor

We are looking for a Civil Enforcement Supervisor to supervise day-to-day operation and maintenance of the post holders service area and directly supervise the CEO’s on a day-to-day basis providing support and leadership, ensuring the CEO’s are working in a safe and effective working environment.

You will assist in the supervision of the parking team ensuring duties and activities are carried out in accordance with legislation and council policies. To ensure the provision of an efficient and cost-effective service making a positive contribution to the community and to traffic management.

You will also deputise for the Parking Enforcement Manager when required ensuring an effective parking enforcement function, and that estimated performance levels are achieved.

The post holder will work on a shift pattern basis to ensure that the parking service is operational 7 days per week, from 07:00am - 01:00am hours. Working hours will be permanent 37 hours per week, covering Monday to Sunday (including bank holidays)

A uniform is required to be worn for this role at all times. This should be worn and used in a professional manner. Staff are responsible for their own uniforms, and this remains the property of Medway Council.

The post holder must have a Full UK Driving Licence for both manual and automatic vehicle and must be willing to drive.

Career Progression Frameworks (CPF) have been introduced for all roles at Medway Council. These frameworks provide a mechanism for employees to take ownership of their development within their post and be rewarded accordingly. This means that the salary you will be offered will be at level A unless, based on an assessment against the CPF criteria, you demonstrate that you are meeting the criteria of level B or C. Parking Enforcement are seeking a Civil Enforcement Supervisor to join the team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate the relevant knowledge, experience and skills to get you started, but you will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. All elements of level A listed within the person specification are essential. Through your induction you will be introduced to the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which will help you to identify your areas of strength and any development needs.
