**The Role**
Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? A highly-respected independent boys school in South West London are looking for an experienced SEND professional to join their school on an ongoing contract basis to support the provision for SEN support within their junior school.
**About the Role**:
As Head of Learning Support your role will include the following responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the school’s Learning Support provision, ensuring all pupils receive the guidance they need to succeed.
- Provide expert advice and training to staff to support students with additional needs.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and external specialists to create tailored learning strategies.
- Deliver small group or individual support sessions, including study skills and exam preparation.
- Stay up to date with best practices in special educational needs and government guidelines.
Manage the Learning Support budget and resources to maximise the department’s effectiveness.
**Person Specification**:
The school are looking for a committed and knowledgeable professional who:
- Has experience working with children with learning difficulties in an educational setting.
- Holds a relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Learning Support.
- Can lead a team and inspire colleagues to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Is an excellent communicator, able to liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
