**What will the apprentice be doing?**

**The average day will consist of a variety of different tasks including**:

- Stacking out and setting up
- Laying mortar beds
- Laying brick/block
- Jointing up brickwork
- Ensuring the workplace is clean and tidy
- Cutting brick/ block
- Support team in laying and creating foundations for buildings and homes
- Other general building work

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**

The apprentice will work towards a level 2 standard in bricklaying. The course is up to 24 months long and will be a mixture of day and block release. The rest of the days will be working on site.

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**

After the apprenticeship is completed and you have gained your level 2 standard in bricklaying you will have the option to do further training within our organisation to support with your ongoing development in the construction industry

**Things to consider**

It is physically demanding work so the applicant should be in a good physical state. The job involves working outdoors in all types of weather.

Applicants must have access to own transport or live within 10mile radius of ST4 ( Stoke On Trent )
