**The Company Overview**:
Butler Rose are partnered with a fantastic business with a great long standing reputation who are looking to recruit a dedicated Management Accountant to join their team based at their site in Carlisle.

**Your new role as Management Accountant**:
The Management Accountant is a pivotal member of both the Finance Team, and the organisation as a whole. They will provide a crucial contribution towards ensuring the Group achieves its strategic goals. Amidst a broad array of responsibilities, they willprepare monthly management accounts and assist the business in understanding its performance, working closely with operational managers to drive efficiencies and improve profitability.

**Key duties will include**:
Managing the finance team to maintain close control of the core financial processes and disciplines ensuring transactional data is accurate and up to date.

Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports.

Driving improvements and efficiencies in the finance processes and systems.

Contribute to the annual budgeting process, and prepare any required financial analysis.

Custodian of financial forecasting models, maintaining and updating as and when required.

Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.

Key point of liaison and source of information for external advisors, during the preparation of Corporation Tax computations.

Preparation of year end reporting packs for external auditors.

Liaise with the external audit team providing all information required.

Assist with preparation of statutory accounts.

**The Experience & Qualifications Required**:
qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or passed finalist

Attention to detail and strong organisation skills

Strong Excel Skills
