Senior Support Worker

Balloo strives on creating a home from home atmosphere for our residents and we are looking to recruit a friendly passionate and caring senior care assistant to join our team.
As Senior Care Assistant you will assist and oversee daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care as needed.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift and will assign specific tasks to the care assistants and monitor their completion.
You will develop, review and update residents’ personal care plan to meet their changing physical, social and psychological needs.
You will administer medication as prescribed and be responsible for seeking medical care and attention when required. You will be responsible for the ordering and stock of residents medication. You will oversee and support care staff to train in medication administration.
The Senior Care Assistant will promote high standards of care by ensuring all team members are trained and supervised appropriately and you will communicate professionally and warmly with visitors, family members and other health care professionals.
**About you**
We’re looking for caring, compassionate individual who can manage a team, solve problems, show good judgement and communicate with a range of different people.
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care or a willingness to undertake while in this role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Have knowledge of the RQIA minimum care standards and how these are implemented.
- Empathetic, compassionate with strong leadership and people skills.
- Has a strong team work ethic.
- Exceptional organisation skills.
- To comply with NISCC codes of conduct

PART TIME / FULL TIME POST AVAILABLE
**WEEKEND ON / WEEKEND OFF SCHEDULE**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-36 per week
**Salary**: £10.80 per hour
