- Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield has an opportunity for a Bank Ward Clerk to join their team, on a bank/occasional basis to cover annual leave and sickness. _You will be part of a team that prides itself on providing exemplary service to our Patients, Visitors and Colleagues at all times.

**Contract type**:Bank, Zero hours

**Working hours**:_Any time between 7 am and 7 pm Monday to Friday. Weekends available. _
- As Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff _.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Greet and receive patients, visitors and other members of staff to the wards in a polite and professional manner and to undertake general reception duties
- Answer the telephone and relay accurate messages as appropriate
- Maintain effective communications between patients, their relatives and the team within the department
- Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communications are maintained within the department
- Reports complaints or concerns to the Nurse in charge/shift leader
- Ensure that patient notes are up to date and in correct order and are taken to the appropriate place be it coders or secretary when a patient episode is complete
- Ensure that all filing of results and other information is accurately filed in the patient’s notes
- Liaise with the all relevant department and the patient to ensure accurate data in the system (admissions, discharge and transfer of patients)
- Booking of outpatients’ appointments on the system or with the relevant hospital departments and the arranging of transport
- Ensure discharge notes are completed by the medical staff and sent to GP’s within 24 hours of discharge and results are filed prior to leaving ward

- Previous experience in similar environment is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
