**ROLE - Chemical Engineer **SALARY - £45,000- £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**TYPE - Permanent**LOCATION - Reading**My client is a specialist manufacturer, and they are looking to take on a Chemical Engineer on a permanent basis in the Reading area.
**The Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Be degree qualified in a chemical discipline
- Knowledge of inorganic chemistry would be beneficial
- Strong Project Management skills
- Understands 2D and 3D CAD
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team

**Responsibilities include**:

- Solving problems and improving engineering processes
- Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans
- Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
- Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
- Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
- Design equipment layouts
- Maintaining technical documentation as required
- Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
- Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
