**Job description**

Kent Foods are looking for a Transport Logistics Planner to work within our transport team based at our Head Office.

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our dedicated team.

**Main responsibilities include: -**
- Route plan vehicles from our own fleet of bulk tanker and artic. curtain sided vehicles
- Employ 3rd party haulage and negotiate competitive rates for all movements
- Organise driver schedules to meet our customer requirements
- Liaise with drivers/customers in relation to deliveries
- Monitoring of vehicles by utilising tracking system
- Ensure vehicle efficiencies & targets are met
- Management of drivers hours etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- A pleasant telephone manner with the ability to liaise with customers and suppliers
- Ability to manage drivers efficiently
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Cost awareness to maximise vehicle profit
- Forward planning skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Essential customer focused attitude
- Computer literate
- Flexible working hours
- Willingness to be contacted out of hours

Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
