We are looking for Catering Assistants who can be part of the strong well-structured team looking after pupils & staff across all day parts. Ideally you would need to be experienced within catering either from a school, hotel or restaurant setting be comfortable in a fast paced, high-volume environment. The role is commutable from York, Harrogate, Wetherby & Knaresborough, and you will need access to your won transport to complete this role. You will need to be available to complete shifts starting at 6.30am and finishing no later than 7.30pm and be available to work weekends on a rotational basis

**Role**:

- Prepare, set up & clear counters in the service area for all meal services
- Always provide excellent customer service to the students
- Serve meals on the counter as requested
- Prepare light refreshments and packed meals
- Working within the pot wash area during meal service times
- General cleaning and tidying
- Ensure all COSH, Food Safety & Health & Safety requirements are adhered to
- Assist in the running of functions & school events
- Attend training when required

**Requirements**:

- Experience of working in a similar role
- Excellent customer service
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Basic food safety knowledge
- Full UK driving license - due to the location of the school

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
