The role will be on a 2 week rotational double day shift: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm.
Responsibilities will include:
Bench manufacturing of wire harnesses and their installation on landing gear.
Ability to read component maintenance manuals and schematics Function testing and inspection of electrical components.
Looming, crimping, braiding, soldering, wire cutting/preparation experience.
Carry out detailed assembly, undertaking all work to safety requirements and agreed timescales.
Assembly and installation of electrical assemblies.
Wiring looms and functional testing/trouble shooting of electrical systems.
Fitting and assembly of aircraft components.
All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures
Ability to read schematics and CMM's
Liaison with associated departments
Work to Production priority lists - ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control.
AOG/On wing support if required
You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record book.
Other duties as directed by the Senior Team Leader or Team Leader
Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship.
Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field.
Be self-motivated with good communication skills.
Have the ability to work alone or in a team environment
Embrace continuous improvement processes and other initiatives of our client *
Have high regard for an understanding of Health & Safety, ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with the relevant risk assessments and PPE assessments.
