We are looking to appoint a Senior Placements Officer within the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing’s external Partnerships & Finance professional services department.

This department is rapidly growing its portfolio of activity in terms of courses and locations in which it supports students.

The Faculty works with a wide range of external organisations from public to private sector organisations. Traditional undergraduate courses have large student population and a number of new courses are being developed each year, including apprenticeships.

Many of the Faculty’s placement courses have professional body requirements (e.g. Ofsted, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC) and Social Work England (SWE) with mandatory stipulations of requirement in regard to student placement activity.

The successful post holder will have the following qualities

You will be educated to Degree level or have equivalent administrative experience including experience of managing staff, delegating work to others, carrying out appraisals and identification of staff development needs will be key in this role to ensure quality of service.

You will have and be able to demonstrate your robust knowledge of placement experience and requirements of assurance.

You will have an excellent standard of literacy and numeracy and be conversant across all IT packages. Furthermore you will have knowledge and experience of a student management system (e.g. SITS and e;Vision).

You will have previous experience of working within a regulatory framework and an understanding of requirement for regulatory inspections e.g. Ofsted to meet internal and external audit requirements.

You will be experienced in analysing data and illustrating information set to identify anomalies alongside providing key data sets as required.

You will be committed to providing excellent customer services by demonstrating your excellent communication skills and provide excellent customer service internally and externally to maintain excellent working relationships.

You will have a proactive and professional approach and demonstrate excellent forward planning to ensure that requirements and deadlines are met.

You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to equality and diversity, commitment to quality and have a full understanding of the Data protections and Freedom of information acts and have a commitment to Health and Safety.
