The role of Biochip QC Operator is to include the operation, calibration, and maintenance of all Evidence family of analysers and other analytical instrumentation to generate reliable analytical data. The role will involve the preparation and appropriate handling of various samples and reagents for use on multiple analyser types as well as the accurate maintenance of quality control records.

This role will be three 12-hour nightshifts per week Tuesday to Thursday.

**The Role**:

- Strict adherence to established procedures and clean room practices.
- The rejection of any sub-standard biochips.
- The operation of the Randox assembly machinery to assemble and pack biochip racks.
- The operation of the vacuum sealers to pack biochip products.
- The preparation of buffers for the manufacture of biochips.
- The use of the Randox Vision Systems to maintain quality of formatted biochips.
- Performance of established on-line quality checks to ensure the manufacture of high-quality product.
- The accurate completion of all the appropriate manufacturing and stock records.
- The alerting of the Lead Production Operator / Production Team Leader to any problems in the manufacture of Biochip material.
- The cleaning down of machines and the work area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Assisting in the training of staff in departmental procedures and systems.
- Adhere to all clean room procedures.
