At One Fylde we provide support, accommodation and activities for adults and young people with learning disabilities. We cover the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre areas.

We are a community with a purpose - to make sure that everyone who is part of One Fylde is treated with respect and enabled to live the best life possible.

Currently, One Fylde supports over 230 individuals and employs over 300 staff, and we are looking for a support worker to join our team who can work a 9am - 11pm shift with a 11pm to 9am sleep in service and has the ability to manage a person we support’s strict diet plans.

The person the postholder will be supporting enjoys an array of activities like Zumba and horse riding. They love being out and about in the community doing activities and they need a support worker who is patient, good at listening and will involve the individual in planning the support they receive.

We are looking for someone who is resilient and who would be confident to lone work. The person we support would like someone fun with a good sense of humour to support them.

You’ll have responsibility for providing support with all aspects of day-to-day living, enabling the person we support to make their own decisions and enjoy the best possible quality of life. You’ll be encouraging and helping them get involved in the local community, pursuing all possible opportunities to join local groups that are of their interest.

It is an essential requirement that the postholder is a confident driver in automatic vehicles and holds a Full UK Drivers License.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring a quality service is maintained to reflect the expectations of our Organisation, the people we support and their friends and families.
- Ensuring that the people we support have a safe, appropriate and comfortable living environment.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including families and social services.
- Ensuring support plans and other relevant information are followed, including Health and Safety requirements.
- Working flexibly within the service, including night and weekend duties.
- Preserving the dignity of the people we support, always.
