Summary We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative marketing and communications person to join our team looking after a portfolio of properties in Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk - including Anglesey Abbey, Wicken Fen, Oxburgh Hall, PeckoverHouse and Houghton Mill.
**Your contractual location will be discussed at interview, but will be one of the properties you’ll be supporting. However there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements, which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.The role will also involve travel to other properties to carry out work.**
What it's like to work here Anglesey Abbey is a busy and thriving place to be that is full of life and locally loved. Lord Fairhaven created his home here, one that would inspire and surprise visitors, with a spectacular garden with year round appeal.
Wicken Fen is the National Trust's oldest nature reserve and one of Europe's most important wetlands. Home to more than 9000 species, it's also where we're carrying out one of our most ambitious landscape scale conservation projects.
Oxburgh Hall is one of four treasure houses in the East of England. It has been a family home for more than 500 years and its story is one of survival, as we continue with our £6 million restoration project.
Peckover House and Houghton Mill are two of our smaller properties, both with charm and fascinating stories to tell, rooted in their local communities.
We're looking for someone who can help us reach larger and more diverse audiences for our property and our digital content. Your role will ensure that we're sharing the best stories we can about our places, as somewhere to visit as well as raising awarenessof our conservation work.
Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you, if you have:
- Practical experience in a marketing role
- Experience of developing and implementing marketing and communications plans
- Knowledge of relevant legislation: marketing codes, data protection, copyright and model release
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to work as part of a team, and influence, advise and negotiate at all levels within the organisation and with external agencies
- Well organised and able to manage multiple priorities and varying pressures to meet measurable targets and deadlines
- Strong understanding of the importance of online presence and ways to promote visits to our website and social media channels
