**So, what does the role of a Commercial Account Handler/Technician here involve?**
This role will be made for you if you love fostering relationships and helping clients find the right Insurance products to fit their needs. Our Account Handler/Technicians are excellent at quoting and placing cover when instructed, inviting and bindingrenewals, dealing with mid-term adjustments, broking client requirements within the insurance market and providing assistance in all areas for your Accounts Executive(s) when appropriate.
You will work independently and manage client requirements within the scope of a busy client book that spans all business sectors and classes of commercial insurance. This will include client contact and visits, alongside your Account Executive. There isalso potential to support the management of team members.
**What you will do**
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more
- Support your Account Executive in all areas with every aspect of managing the client account, including attending client visits with your Account Executive (or independently) where required.
- Being the first point of contact for clients dealing with day-to-day queries.
- Control your own diary system, ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates, particularly in relation to outstanding documentation from clients or insurers, premium payments and continuation of cover.
- Assist, when required, with the Accounts function of the business in carrying out credit control with relevant customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the collection of monies from clients within the Company’s agreed credit period, whilst maintaininggood relationships with those clients and with insurers.
- Check thoroughly all client documentation before dispatch, ensuring queries are raised and amendments completed
- Any duties that may be required by your Line Manager in accordance with the nature of this job and liaison with claims and accounts colleagues.
**What experience do our Account Executives need?**
It’s essential that you have experience gained from within the Insurance Industry in a commercial lines broking role as you will be offering a complete commercial lines experience to existing customers and ideally have a good working knowledge of Acturis.It would be a bonus if you have any relevant qualifications, although we offer plenty of opportunity to gain these once you join us.

This is an office-based role for 6 months and once probation is passed, a hybrid working option can be considered. It is a Full Time (35 Hours) and permanent position on offer.
