Commercial Coordinator

Our client, an industry leading logistics specialist which provides award winning, time critical logistics solutions to the aviation and aerospace industry, are recruiting for a**Commercial Co-ordinator**based in the **London Heathrow**area.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
Based in the Customs Solutions department and reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial / Network Co-ordinator is responsible for growing revenue with agents requesting One Day Quotes (ODQs) and cold calling dormant accounts who have not tradedwith the business in the last twelve months. They will be accountable for ensuring all data is collected correctly and added to the master database. They will be responsible for organising all agent related events and tracking the success.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**One Day Quote Management**
- Ensure that all quotes are generated on time (within the agreed timeframes of the SOP).
- Ensure that all ODQ responses have the correct level of profit margin balanced with pricing to win.
- Work with other offices to gather costs and build ODQs
- Work with multiple suppliers to gain the best price for service to meet the customers service levels
- Work with Operations and the Inside Sales team to understand expected service levels provided to their partners.

**Quote Log Quality and Compliance Management**
- Maintain an up-to-date log of all quotes through the quoting system.
- Develop root cause analysis for failure and develop strategy to improve. If unable to improve flag to Line Manager to prevent any further quotes being accepted.
- Analyze data and Identify agents who may benefit from having contracted rates in the company, versus consistently requesting quotes.
- Pass any potential leads to Customer Solutions teams to progress globally.
- Assist the UK Commercial Manager to analyse and report on trends, successful and unsuccessful, recommend actions required.

**Events & Exhibitions**
- Assist Marketing team with booking and planning of any events that are forecast during the year.
- Co-ordinate with global offices for any internal / external events that our agents are attending.
- Co-ordinate agents to visit global offices outside of EMEA.

**Account Management Support**
- Review all ODQs accounts and identify agent trading trends.
- Develop a plan to further penetrate existing agents within the company who are still shipping with the company, but who have either declined over the previous period or who utilize services for a small portion of their overall logistics spend.

**Contract Management**
- Ensure that all the necessary documentation and uploads on the system are completed by account and in the required timeframes.
- Ensure final sign off is completed by UK Commercial Manager.

**Pricing Administration**
- Manage RFQ requests from Customer Solutions Managers and coordinate the pricing response with the EMEA operations teams.
- Work with multiple suppliers to gather Net costs for small and larger tenders.
- Ensure all documentation is allocated to the account on Cargowise for future reference.

**To Be Considered**:

- Proven experience gathering supplier costs and producing quotes within the logistics industry through previous operational or inside sales positions.
- Strong commercial awareness, understands impact of actions.
- Proven understanding of AOG services vs. critical and routine services.
- Previous experience dealing with varied customer base and building strong relations
- Ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method.
- Possess appropriate IT skills.
- Ideally Cargowise experience
