**Area of responsibility**
Overseeing a team processing high quality meat products (including pork products) in a busy, fast paced environment, managing the production assembly line, assisting the team in completing orders and preparing reports.
**Specific tasks**
- Correctly and effectively carry out the required functions once trained to produce each product to specification
- Carry out all general operative duties on the line as require
- Be prepared to handle raw meat, including pork products
- Prepare products for dispatch including labelling, taping, packaging etc
- Work quickly in order to maintain the fast pace environment in line with production needs and ensure team meets key performance targets for your designated area
- Train and coach team members providing them with constructive feedback to enable them to perform their work effectively, efficiently and safely to required standards and develop and improve their knowledge and skills
- Support Departmental and Training Team initiatives through the development of training plans and participate in required training.
- Act as a role model and lead by example demonstrating Core company values, behaviours and high performance standards at all times.
- Give instructions and effectively lead, coach and motivate a team.
- Communicate effectively to your team, providing support, encouragement and guidance
- Attend meetings to report to managers when required
- Ensure team operate within the Company Health and Safety standards at all times and that workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times to minimise risk of food contamination
- Ensure all staff wear correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes.
- Ensure all team comply with the Health and Safety, food and hygiene requirements at all times.
- Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your Line Manager or designate and support resolution as appropriate.
- Ensure all Technical standards are met within production area and support other areas as required.
- Ensure good manufacturing practices are followed and that the section is audit ready as required
- Take personal responsibility for own development and ensure knowledge and understanding of products, best practice and factors affecting business performance is kept up to date.
- Provide cover for other areas and Line Manager as required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods in a chilled environment
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change as required
**Salary**: £24,569.34 per year
